The idea of this site is to build a number of free, easy to use, on-line calculators to help you calculate the cost of various financial products such as loans, credit cards and mortgages. Rather than going to a debt management company, or consolidating your loans, this site contains financial tools to help you get debt free yourself!

You'll find tools here to help calculate the real cost of loans, the real cost of borrowing on credit cards, how much you could save by overpaying on your mortgage and more.

UK Debt stats (as of February 2008):

• Secured debt: £1,194 billion
• Unsecured debt: £227 billion
• Credit card debt: £54.80 billion
• Average credit card APR: 17.8%

Of the £54.80 billion credit card debt, approximately 74.2% is ‘interest bearing’ (eg, £40.66 billion is carried over each month). Which means that the UK is paying around £602,130,527 every month in credit card interest (that's about £13,747 a minute). And that's not including loans, mortgages, or other types of debt.
